Dryer Vent Cleaning

Protect Your Home and Family

Lint and debris can build up deep inside your dryer vent, restricting airflow and increasing the risk of a dryer fire. Even with regular lint screen cleaning, hidden buildup can remain. Our professional inspections, cleanings, and repairs help reduce these risks and keep your home safer.

Improve Dryer Efficiency

A clogged dryer vent can cause longer drying times, higher energy use, and unnecessary wear on your appliance. Our professional cleaning removes built-up lint and debris to help restore proper airflow, improve drying performance, and keep your dryer running efficiently.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), ALL DRYER
MANUFACTURERS, AND THE FEDERAL FIRE AGENCY, recommend residential dryer vents be
cleaned at least once per year.

We believe that the following factors could mean more frequent cleanings should take place:

  • How often is your dryer used?
  • Is your dryer over 10 years old?
  • Is it full size or small stackable dryer?
  • Is your vent over 5 feet long?
  • Does your vent have several bends or elbow joints?
  • Do you have a bird guard covering your exhaust exit?

A dryer vent is actually the ductwork and/or hosing that runs from the dryer, through the wall(s), and to the vent hood located on the exterior of the home (usually on a side wall or on the roof).

About 70% of the lint gets caught in your dryer’s lint trap, and the rest blows through the dryer and ventilation system. That remainder builds up in the ductwork over time, so yes, you do need to clean it.

The dryer is one of the most costly household appliances to operate. Regularly cleaning the dryer vent will most likely save money on your power bill since your dryer won’t have to use as much energy.

Typically about one hour. The amount of time may vary due to the length of the vent, the amount of buildup, and unexpected issues such as bird’s nests.
